Second Opinions

If you've received a diagnosis or treatment plan you're uncertain about, a considered second opinion from a specialist can provide clarity, confidence, and peace of mind before you proceed.

"Every woman deserves to be heard, understood, and cared for — not just treated."

ABOUT DR ALEX

A surgeon who believes you deserve to understand your own body.

Dr Aleksandra (Alex) Popadich is a specialist breast and endocrine surgeon based in Wellington, New Zealand. Originally from Croatia, she completed her medical training at the University of Otago and her surgical fellowship across New Zealand before sub-specialising in Breast and Endocrine Surgery in Sydney.

Since 2013, she has been the leading breast and menopause specialist in the Wellington region — bringing together the precision of expert surgery with the nuance of whole-woman care. Her particular expertise lies at the intersection of breast cancer and hormonal health, an area few specialists can address with equal depth.

She is also a GP educator and clinical governance leader at Boulcott Hospital, committed to ensuring evidence reaches every level of women's healthcare.
